We are in search of a skilled individual to coordinate and oversee technical support for various in-house and packaged application systems, responsible for delivering essential capabilities. The primary focus will be on the Data Warehouse and its associated systems and processes. The role will entail hands-on, direct operation with external third parties where needed. Additionally, the position will involve higher-level coordination of support issues across a range of applications within the company, emphasising a broader, coordinated approach to application problems and following up on critical matters.
The applicant's responsibilities include generating management Information across the organisation applications, liaising with business users, IT staff, and external vendors. The candidate will manage support for the Data Warehouse, focusing on support, contribution to ongoing efforts to maximise the data's quality, and managing application developments in and around the Data Warehouse. The candidate must analyse business requirements and translate them into technical work deliverables. The Applications Support Lead will either liaise with third-party software providers or develop the solution independently, depending on the application.
The ideal candidate will handle relations with business users, communicate with system support teams, and liaise with third-party vendors for application support. They should possess at least five years of experience in software development in a professional environment, knowledge of systems integration and interfacing, structured testing, SQL, and databases. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a delivery and quality-driven approach, problem-solving skills, flexibility, and an ability to perform in a dynamic team environment are mandatory.
Desirable skills and qualifications include; experience working in the financial/insurance sector, proficiency in .NET, C#, Data Warehouse and ETL, experience with core financial systems, and document management systems.
