A leading administrator of all fund types is looking to hire a Business Systems Manager who will be instrumental in designing and implementing the core financial system framework, encompassing processes and reporting mechanisms.
Based in Jersey and reporting directly to a Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for project leadership, leading and managing business implementation projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope and on budget. Acting as the primary liaison between the fund administration team, IT and external vendors. You will optimise fund administration processes including fund accounting, investor reporting and data management. Ensure the software is effectively integrated and utilised to its full potential. Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the fund administration department. Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational effectiveness and client satisfaction. Support the development, testing and implementation of system enhancements and new systems to contribute to projects successes. Support the development of reporting solutions for both existing and new systems, working independently and collaboratively to create solutions that can be applied across the Group to improve service delivery. Work closely with internal teams and external clients to gather requirements, communicate project progress and address any issues or concerns relevant to stakeholder management promptly. Provide training and ongoing support to the fund administration team and ensure that staff are proficient in using software and are aware of best practices. Ensure all business implementation projects comply with regulatory requirements and company policies, identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
To be suitable for this role, you will have a minimum of five years of experience in private equity fund administration and hold a relevant professional qualification. Previous experience working with Investran, with a strong understanding of its application in fund administration processes, is required. Proficiency with MS Office and familiarity with programming languages such as VBA, VB Script, SAS and Transact-SQL are desirable but not mandatory. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent project management skills will be beneficial.
