Long-established in the international financial services field, our client specialises in providing a range of powerful and flexible insurance products in wealth management and employee benefits. They are looking for an Application Support Lead in Guernsey.
The main responsibilities of this role include co-ordinating and overseeing the technical support of a variety of in-house and package application systems delivering essential capabilities, higher-level co-ordination of support issues across a broader range of applications within the company and generating Management Information across a range of applications. Key duties include supporting the DWH, input to on-going efforts to maximise Data Quality, managing application developments in and around the DWH, support, including diagnostics, definition, testing and delivery of solutions, analysing business requirements and translating them into technical deliverables, liaising with third party software providers to provide solutions, developing hands-on solutions, managing relations with business users, communicating with other system support teams and other companies and liaising with third party suppliers for application support.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' experience of software development in a professional environment, knowledge and skills in systems integration and interfacing, experience of structured testing, SQL and databases, good communication skills, both written and verbal, be delivery and quality focused, be willing to work in a flexible and dynamic team environment and be a problem solver.
Financial / Insurance Sector experience, Data Warehouse and ETL knowledge and experience of core financial systems and Document Management systems preferred.
