Systems integrator 2e2 is considering sending its support desk jobs to India, according tothe Register.
The firm, which recently bought IT services company Morse, is due to begin offshoring after 25 July. Codenamed Project Victoria, the process will kick off when 2e2 should have finished due diligence with Patni, its Indian outsourcing partner.
Patni will take on about 150 2e2 support staff. It is expected the jobs will stay in the UK for three months but that staff will then be made redundant and the work moved to India.
The company made a turnover of £414m in 2009 and counts ITV, Pret a Manger, TieRack and British Airways among its customer base.
