1st / 2nd Line Senior IT Service Desk Analyst

Our client a leading International Private bank requires an experienced 1st / 2nd Line support analyst to act as lead representative for their Guernsey and remote IT and Service Desk function.

Service Desk responsibilities include call logging and timely call completion, 1st level application support, 1st & 2nd level desktop support, incident resolution, monitoring critical components, processing purchase orders and taking responsibility for Printers, Scanners, Mobile phones, Blackberry, IP Telephony and Fax support. Other tasks include PC and laptop build and distribution, account management and administration, Virtual service desk support, office moves, Telephony and maintaining procedures & documentation as appropriate.

The role holder will also take responsibility for Local IT support including the maintenance of Hardware and Software inventories, Disaster Recovery co-ordination including support and administration, responsibility for the computer equipment room & administration, tape backups and budgetary and accounting administration regarding service desk and local IT matters.

Applicants must demonstrate previous experience in a similar role ideally gained within a financial services environment, be educated to A level or GCSE standard and ideally hold or be studying towards a relevant IT qualification. The successful candidate will be an effective decision maker who is both analytical and numerate, possessing excellent planning and organisational skills. Strong communication skills (both written & verbal) and the ability to build relationships with colleagues, clients and third party vendors at all levels of business is an important part of the role. Knowledge of business processes & change management standards, policies and procedures and an understanding of legal regulatory & industry requirements would be advantageous.
