An outstanding opportunity now exists with our client a Private Wealth Management company for a talented professional to join their award winning team in their IT Support and Development Team with primarily responsible for the support and configuration of applications used across various locations in which the client operates (mainly in Jersey, Guernsey, Cayman). The role will report to the Head of Support/Development.
Main Responsibilities:
~ Providing level 2 technical support of all applications used and hosted within the clients offices
~ Develop reports or provide Management Information System (MIS) to the business using Crystal reports or similar
~ Provide technical analysis to both projects and work requests received from the business which may involve in house development within primarily a SQL 2005 environment

Person Specification:
~ Proven experience in an IT systems support/development environment
~ Experience of IT software development and project lifecycle
~ Good knowledge of Transact SQL
~ Competent level of understanding of the Windows server and/or UNIX operating systems
~ Strong appreciation of IT security
~ Knowledge or experience in any of the following (4Series, Smartstream, StorQm, Iclipse, Bankmaster and SAP)
~ Experience with using any of the following development environments (Visual Basic 6.0 & .Net)
~ Some knowledge of message queuing concepts (e.g. MQSeries)
~ Experience in writing reports using reporting applications such as Crystal reports
~ Good understanding of investment securities (Private Banking/Wealth Management and Custody)
~ Experience in global and matrix organisations
~ Some knowledge of basic accounting terminology and principles
Applicants should be Degree educated in a science subject, ideally in an IT environment or hold an equivalent industry related accreditation. Applicants must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, have an analytical ability, enjoy working in a team environment, be diligent in their duties, motivated, show a proactive approach to work and be well organised with the ability to work to tight deadlines and manage their time effectively.
