MICROSOFT CERTIFIED INDIVIDUALS

We are currently seeking candidates who have, or are working towards, any of the Microsoft qualifications.

Among the most common of these is the MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) qualification, which is primarily focused on IT infrastructure. This certification is available for Windows Server technology and includes examination topics such as network security, computer networking, infrastructure, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange Server and Microsoft SQL Server, among many others.

Also common is the MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator) qualification. The difference between this qualification and MCSE is that MCSE certifies an individual to plan, design and implement Windows Server in medium to large businesses, whereas MCSA allows an individual to implement, manage and maintain Windows Server in such businesses.

At a slightly lower level is the MCDST (Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician) qualification, which demonstrates that the individual is fully capable of supporting end users and troubleshooting in a desktop environment running Windows operating systems.

The more specialised certifications include the MCDBA (Microsoft Certified Database Administrator) qualification, which covers deriving physical database designs, developing logical data models, creating physical databases, creating data services using Transact-SQL, managing and maintaining databases, configuring and managing security, monitoring and optimising databases, and installing and configuring Microsoft SQL Server environments.

There are also two mainstream certifications linked to software/application development: MCAD(Microsoft Certified Application Developer), which is the lower of the two, and MCSD(Microsoft Certified Solution Developer). Both of these qualifications focus on the needs of developers using .NET frameworks.

Finally, the MCP(Microsoft Certified Professional) qualification is gained by passing one of the operating exams, although this does not count as a full certification.

If you hold any of the above certifications, or if you are currently an MCP working towards a full certification, please get in touch: we will be more than happy to help you in your search for new or alternative employment. Our current list of vacancies is highly varied, so your ideal job could be on there - you won’t know until you ask.
